Although there is supposed to have been full and free consultation about what is to happen the the Infantry Regiments of the North West of England there is a pausity of documents available in the public domain. However, we will publish whatever we can. If you have anything that you think is worthy of publication please send it to the webmaster.

Please note that we are grateful to have received the documents that have been used to publish this information and do so with no other motive than to inform the none-serving members of the Regimental Family. The official line of communication is from the Regimental Secretary and Branch Secretaries and it is from them that you should make enquiries if you want to know more.

Possibly the minutes of the first Formation Committee (FC) which was held between the three regiments on 31 Mar 05 at Preston. Each regiment was represented by their Colonel, CO 1st Bn, RSM 1st Bn and Regimental Secretary.

A further report on the Formation Committee (FC) deliberations from their third meeting held at 1 KINGS, Bourlon Barracks, Catterick on 3 October 2005.

The title of the regiment has been changed to The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment (King’s, Lancashire and Border) and the abbreviation LANCS is under review.
