If this site is to be an electronic record/history of the regiment then perhape we should all contribute our own 'histories' of service with the companies. I considered starting off Burma company from my own perspectives from when I joined it in Jan 1974 in Minden. I can remeber many of the company's personnel. however is it safe to do so? is there still an element of security to be considered, for example the company did 2 OP Banner tours while I served with it, before going on a posting, then on to Somme, Arroyo, back to Burma, posting, Arnhem. posting and finally Arnhem again. I suppose it could be done using nicknames which many of us would recognise but would be less usefull as an historical source, what do you think? _________________ Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. What you suggest is valid and security is always formost in the present even for those long absent from active duty, however I fell none really suspect that past foes would truly search individuals out, long past and nameless from a myriad of units who served in the theaters we once did. I feel secure in this site to be a friendly dicrete site where we can all feel safe using any device we see fit to protect ourselves and familys from the past dangers whilst engaging in the present. _________________ "Through me the way into the suffering city,...

Great idea,
The way to do it is to use the first rule of communications security - use veiled speech.
Just change a few bits here and there:
Mouse Charity could be Sebastian Wheaterbix
And we all know who Cosee' is
Naturally Winkte could be Sphinxter
And Jock McCartney could be Rock McHartney
The mind boggles!
And then there is always that famous Irish Chinese Chippy owner who was known as FNU SNU ANK (First name unknown, Surname unknown, Address unknown.
As my darling wife says "Just do it"
Regards
